Putting to use the Crème de la Crème of the Nazi Youth

Let’s see what glorious deeds Hitler Youth were about to accomplish, using mostly Poland and maybe Czechoslovakia as examples, and just a brief mention of the occupied areas of the Soviet Union, mostly Belorussia and Ukraine, which they turned into a vast wasteland. As laid-out in his 1926 book Mein Kampf, Hitler’s plan was to convert Eastern Text Box:

The former Hitler Youth had in 1939 before them the
monumental task of killing, in cold blood, millions of
unarmed people.
Europe into the so-called German Lebensraum ("living space"); it was set in motion even sooner than the German troops goose-stepped into Warsaw.  Nazi ideology had viewed Slavs as a racially inferior group, slated to be pushed into the vast expanse of the Russian Asia. Such was the insidious power of Nazi propaganda that even after defeated in 1945, for years afterwards Germans would express their disgust with everything Russian, Polish or Ukrainian, apparently having learned nothing from their colossal defeat, second in a row.

On September 7, 1939 Reinhard Heydrich stated that all Polish nobles, clergy and Jews are to be killed; on September 12 Wilhelm Keitel added intelligentsia to the list; at the end of 1940 Hitler demanded liquidation of “all leading elements in Poland” and on 15 March 1940 Himmler stated “All Polish specialists will be exploited in our military-industrial Text Box:
Executions of intelligentsia. The Priest is next.

complex. Later, all Poles will disappear from this world. It is imperative that the great German nation considers the elimination of all Polish people as its chief task.”

According to their own records, the Einsatzgruppen murdered more than one million people in Eastern Europe, that’s just in open air shootings. Between the September 1939 invasion and the beginning of 1941, they got quite busy executing Polish intelligentsia; only after the eyes, ears and brains of Poland were exterminated, did they begin mass-killing of Jews, Gypsies and others in Poland and throughout Eastern Europe. Historian Raul Hilberg estimates that based on their own reports alone, between 1941 and 1945 the Einsatzgruppen  killed more than 1.3 million Jews, Gypsies, and Soviet political commissars just in open-air shootings. That is not counting mass annihilations in gas trucks and industrial strength gas chambers of the Nazi concentration camps and the numerous executions by Wermacht, Waffen SS soldiers, and by various local police units, subordinate to and following orders of the SS.

Text Box:
Otto Ohlendorf, commander of Einsatzgruppe “D” in the Ukraine and Crimea.

Einsatzgruppen specialized in shooting civilians en mass. They were good Nazis, efficient in following orders, developing plans for mass-murder and executing the plans. Thus, in June 1941, Reinhard Heydrich appointed Otto Ohlendorf to be commander of Einsatzgruppe D, which operated in southern Ukraine and Crimea, a relatively small territory compared to all the lands occupied by Germany.  There he is, on the right. In 1945, at the Nurenberg trial, Ohlendorf' proudly admitted to murdering over 90,000 Jews, not counting people of other nationalities. He was a rather self-righteous and proud Nazi, who had no regrets about his “heroic” deeds and despised the rest of them, Nazi “pussies” who wanted to keep their “accomplishments” secret. He warned the Nurnberg court that the American Jews would still be punished; it was coming to them. Unfortunately, this German hero was arrested by the Americans and treated in kids gloves throughout the trial and interrogation. Americans had their principles, but also quite a few racial theorists of their own, including those in the US Congress. He would’ve sung a different song, had he been arrested by the NKVD, who didn’t mind applying Nazi interrogation techniques to Nazis, or – in the alternative – letting a few Jewish, Russian and Ukrainian soldiers from the trenches to have their way with the executioner of their families.  He was hanged on the 8th of June, 1951.

The top SS man, Reichsführer-SS und Chef der Deutschen Polizei, Himmler, in his infamous recorded top-secret speech to his SS underlings in Posen (now Posnan, Poland) expressed the essence of Nazi policy of using Slavs for slave labor. [From the speech of Reichsführer-SS Himmler, speaking to SS Major-Generals, Poznan, October 4, 1943  (Nazi Conspiracy and Aggression- Washington, U.S Govt. Print. Off., 1946, Vol. IV, p. 559)]:

<< What happens to a Russian, to a Czech, does not interest me in the slightest. What the nations can offer in good blood of our type, we will take, if necessary by kidnapping their children and raising them with us. Whether nations live in prosperity or starve to death interests me only in so far as we need them as slaves for our culture; otherwise, it is of no interest to me.

Whether 10,000 Russian females fall down from exhaustion while digging an anti-tank ditch interest me only in so far as the anti-tank ditch for Germany is finished. We shall never be rough and heartless when it is not necessary, that is clear. We Germans, who are the only people in the world who have a decent attitude towards animals, will also assume a decent attitude towards these human animals. But it is a crime against our own blood to worry about them and give them ideals, thus causing our sons and grandsons to have a more difficult time with them.

When someone comes to me and says, "I cannot dig the anti-tank ditch with women and children, it is inhuman, for it will kill them", then I would have to say, "you are a murderer of your own blood [dramatic-second-world-war-photos-004.jpeg]because if the anti-tank ditch is not dug, German soldiers will die, and they are the sons of German mothers. They are our own blood.      >>

[Extract from Himmler's address to party comrades, September 7, 1940 (Trials of War Criminals Before the Nuernberg Military Tribunals - Washington, U.S Govt. Print. Off., Vol. IV, p. 1140]

Himmler harangued that if a German woman is caught in an alleged relationship with a male Ostarbeiter, (English: Eastern Worker slave laborer from Russia, Poland and such), he were to be hanged immediately and in front of his fellow laborers. “The women will be brought before the courts without mercy, and where the facts are not sufficiently proved--such borderline cases always happen--they will be sent to a concentration camp. This we must do, unless these one million Poles and those hundreds of thousands of workers of alien blood are to inflict untold damage on the German blood. Philosophizing is of no avail in this case.” − Nazis were very gallant with German women – after all – German women carried their 1933 elections, effectively bringing Nazis to power.

Stalin’s doctrine was quite different, emphasizing internationalism as a “brotherhood of all working people”:

Translation from Russian: “We say with absolute confidence that this war shall result in annihilation or disintegration of the Hitler’s clique. Any attempts to equate Germany and the German People with the Hitler’s clique are absurd.  “Hitlers” of this world come and go, but the German people and a German state will endure. The moral strength of the Red Army is in our unconditional rejection of any race hatred towards different peoples and races, including the German people; our strength is in being brought up in the spirit of equal rights for all peoples and races, in the spirit of respect towards the rights of other peoples. Today, because the Nazis advanced false theories of Race superiority into their practice of race hatred, all the freedom-loving peoples of the World are opposed to the National Socialist Germany. We are fighting the German soldier not because he is German, but because he is obeying the Nazi regime’s orders to enslave our People…

Not one German soldier may claim that he is fighting a just war, as he cannot but see that he is forced to fight a war to enslave and rob other peoples. He can have no high purpose and noble aspirations, which could inspire him, let alone – of which he could be proud. In contrast, any fighter of the Red Army may proudly say that he is fighting a just war, the war of liberation, the war for freedom and independence of his Motherland. The Red Army has a noble and high purpose, which inspires great heroic feats. This is precisely the reason that our Great Patriotic War gives rise to thousands of heroes and heroines, ready to fight to death in the name of freedom for their Motherland.” [Joseph Stalin. Order № 55, February-23, 1942] (Unless otherwise stated, all translations from Russian and German documents are by the author, which he endeavored to keep as close to the spirit, letter, cadence and rhyme of the original texts, as was possible in translation.)

(Noble as the principles proclaimed above may sound, the practices of the Stalinist totalitarianism vis-à-vis real and perceived political enemies were often not much different from those of Nazi Germany, but Victors are never put on trial for war crimes, they are tried by History, instead. Hitler called Soviet Bolshevism an illegitimate child of Christianity. Ultimately, it was the moral forces within, that destroyed the “evil” of the “evil empire.” The Soviet Union did not implode because of Reagan’s successful implementation of “Star Wars” program or any specific policy of his administration. Likeable as this former actor turned President was, plagued with an onset of senility and not endowed with great intellect to begin with, his influence on the course of history was miniscule. The Soviet Union imploded because its people saw a great rift between the Communism’s ostensibly proclaimed lofty utopian goals, and the criminal practices of the Soviet regime, not because of the idiotic “Star Wars Program.”)

{Information Resource for History of Ukraine. Hitler's

Nazis burned every village to the ground when thrown off the Soviet territories. The standard orders are typified by the letter from Reichsführer-SS Himmler to the SS and Police Chief in the Ukraine, Kiev, September 7, 1943 (Documents of Nazi Conspiracy and Aggression - Washington, U.S Govt. Print. Off., 1946, Supp. A, p. 1270):

<<              Dear Pruetzmann,

Infantry general staff has special orders with regard to the Donetz area. Get in touch with him immediately. I order you to cooperate as much as you can. The aim to be achieved is that when areas in the Ukraine are evacuated, not a human being, not a single head of cattle, not a hundredweight of cereals and not a railway line remain behind; that not a house remain standing, not a mine is available which is not destroyed for years to come, that there is not a well which is not poisoned. The enemy must really find completely burned and destroyed land. Discuss these things with Staff straight away and do your absolute best.               >>

Himmler wrote the above when the major Red Army offensive was under way on the 1400 km front. Stalin was eager not to let Germans profit from the 1943 harvest of the Ukrainian “black earth” lands and launched the battle of Dnieper, a series of major offensives. Dutifully, the retreating Wehrmach soldiers took with them all the civilians who could work as slave labor and killed all that could not, except many civilians who could lay their hands on small arms, formed partisan groups disrupting German logistics and railroad supply routes. The “rail war” partisan operation in September-October of 1943 struck German logistics very hard, creating heavy supply problems.

minds of the Soviet High Command (the s.c. Stavka) when some analysts opine that the Red Army acted hastily, which lead to high casualties. The relentless speed with which it crossed the formidable river had dual significance:

1) it was necessary to establish many beachheads on a broad front to bypass and render useless the fortifications of the German “East Wall” in the same fashion the French Maginot Line was bypassed by German Panzer columns in June of 1940; 2) No less importantly, by cutting through the German frontlines, disrupting their logistics and not letting them to dig in, settle down, and receive reinforcements, their “Scorched Earth” operations were disrupted as much as was possible in those circumstances; the Soviet High Command was eager to save as much civil population, and salvage as many industrial sights and grain fields as possible, even at the expense of high military casualties.

Text Box:

Indeed, Red Army could have waited a few days for the engineers to build bridges; instead, it established several beachheads on the high right bank of Dnieper, swimming and crossing the river using anything that could float, under continuous bombardment and intense fire, even before Germans had a chance to fully retreat to the heights of the right bank. Between 23 of September and October 1, the Red Army established 23 beachheads, some were 10 km wide and 1-2 km deep. Such units lost 50-75% of men taking the beachheads and defending them against German counterattacks, but they ensured that bridges would be erected, indeed. The speed of this offensive ensured that the German highly fortified line of defense, the s.c. Eastern Wall was bypassed and rendered useless.   On the 7th of November the Read Army took Kiev, not a moment too soon, just as Germans began dynamiting the buildings, large portions of the city already in ruins. a

But even 2 years earlier, the Commander of the German Army Group South issued a Memorandum on December 22, 1941, marked “Top Secret” to all combat commanders in the Ukraine:

“The following concept of the Fuehrer is to be made known ... to all commanders ...”

“Each area that has to be abandoned to the enemy must be made completely unfit for his use. Regardless of its inhabitants every locality must be burned down and destroyed to deprive the enemy of accommodation facilities ... the localities left intact must be subsequently destroyed by the air force.” (Kondufor, History Teaches a Lesson, Kiev: 1986, Document no. 119, p. 172)

Soviet partisans, 1943
In a speech by Heinrich Himmler in Kharkov University in April 1943 given to SS officers of three SS divisions, Himmler outlined the official Nazi policy:

“The fortress of Europe with its frontiers must be held and will be held too, as long as is necessary. The decision, therefore, lies here in the East; here must the Russian enemy, this people numbering two hundred million Russians, be destroyed on the battle field and person by person, and made to bleed to death.”

(Himmler’s “Kharkov Speech” in the documents of “Nazi Conspiracy and Aggression”, Vol. IV., Washington, D.C., 1946, pp.572-578; United States Government Printing Office.)

Although I did not personally read the most comprehensive biography of Heinrich Himmler (by Peter Longerich, 1040 pages, Siedler publishing house, Munich 2008, ISBN 978-3-88680-859-5), Andrea Tarquini in her review of the book in La Repubblica, widely circulated Italian newspaper, mentions that Himmler called for annihilation of at least 30 million Slavs on the Russian territories occupied by Germans… as did Herbert Backe, Reichminister of food, just by starvation in the first couple of years of occupation.

On 4 October 1943, while Wehramcht was being decimated in the Battle of Dnieper, Himmler,  being at safe distance of some 1,000 km (620 miles) from the battle, referred explicitly to the “final solution” – extermination of the Jewish people during a secret SS summit in the city of Poznań (Posen). He emphasized the secrecy of the act. The following is a translation of an excerpt from a transcription of an audio recording of this speech that researchers can order from the US National Archives in College Park, Maryland:

<<                  I will refer openly here, and very frankly to a rather difficult secret matter. We can now very openly talk about this among ourselves, and yet we are never to discuss this publicly. Just as we did not hesitate on 30 June 1934 to perform our duty Text Box:
These kids aren’t playing. It’s not a game. For them a gun was life. If not life – then a fighting
chance to live. Happiness was getting a gun. Better still, many guns! These kids got 4
Karabiner 98 Kurz rifles, plus 2 MG 42 or MG 40 (Maschinengewehr 42,) or 7.92x57-mm
universal machine gun. To live, they had to learn early in life how to hide in the woods and
marshes, live and survive outdoors, how to chose their battles: when to flee from and when
to fight SS Einsatzgruppen or Wehrmacht troops.
as ordered, as we put our comrades who had failed us up against the wall and executed them, we never spoke about it, nor shall we ever speak about it. Let us thank God that we had within us enough self-evident fortitude never to discuss it among us, and so we never talked about it. Every one of us was horrified, and yet every one clearly understood that we would do it next time, when the order is given and when it becomes necessary.

I am now going to refer to the evacuation of the Jews, to the extermination of the Jewish People. This is something that is easily said: 'The Jewish People will be exterminated', says every Party member, 'this is very obvious, it is in our program — elimination of the Jews, extermination, a small, insignificant matter.' But then they turn up, the upstanding 80 million Germans, and each one has his own good Jew. They say the others are all swine, but this particular Jew is a splendid Jew. But none in our nation has observed it, endured it… the killing of the Jews. It is most of you here who know what it means, as 100 corpses lie next to each other, when there are 500 or when there are 1,000 corpses. To have endured this and at the same time to have remained a decent person — with exceptions due to human weaknesses — has made us tough, and is our glorious chapter that has not and will not be spoken of outside these walls.

We have a duty to kill but no right to profit. We do not take riches from the Jew – they belong to our State. Those who do, have been and shall be executed. We kill Jews for the love of Germany.  If the Jews were still part of the German nation, as they betrayed us in WW-I, we would arrive now at the same state we were in 1916 and '17 . . . Because we know how difficult it would be for us if we still had Jews as secret saboteurs, agitators and rabble rousers in every city, as we are faced with the bombings, with the burden and with the hardships of the war.         >>

—Heinrich Himmler, 4 October 1943. [ The abbreviated subtitles of this speech can be seen on a film of Himmler delivering this speech, downloadable from: http://www.holocaust-history.org/himmler-poznan/  ]

Nazi-occupied Poland had a large Jewish population of over 3 million, about 10% of the population. Shooting them all was not feasible. On the plans developed by Heydrich, the head of SS in the Ost Reich, Jews who were not shot outright were crammed into ghettos in cities like Warsaw, Krakow, and Lodz. The idea was simple enough: overcrowding, lack of food, water and medications, and confinement within small, walled-in ghettos soon led to starvation and rampant disease, resulting in deaths of 500,000 Jews as early as mid-1941.  The survivors would be subjected to the “final solution” – loaded into box-cars and railroaded to the death camps equipped with industrial strength gas chambers, some with a capacity to kill 3,000 persons per hour.

One SS man who saw the executions of Jewish children in the city of Byelaya Tserkov (Rus: Белая Церковь, literally –  White Church) described them as Text Box:

Jewish women partisans celebrating the liberation of Minsk, the capital of Belorussia.
They lived because they had weapons and knew how to use them well; they had courage and skill to fight and survive in the swamps and forests, in the midst of brutal Russian winter.
(Notice their trophy German uniforms [with Nazi regalia stripped] and a trophy German 7.98- mm Karabiner 98 [second from the left]) These are civilians forced to defend their lives.

Minsk was liberated as part of the Soviet massive offensive code-named operation “Bagration,” in which Wehrmacht lost 25% of its forces on the Eastern Front in just 8 weeks. Started on 22 June 1944, the 3d anniversary of the German attack on the USSR, the Soviet offensive was lightning fast: in the first 12 days Germans lost 25 divisions and 300,000 soldiers KIA, the entire group Armies “Center” being annihilated in the next few weeks. Wehrmacht could not recover after this bloodbath and began conscripting Hitlerjugend, some boys as young as 12.

“I went to the woods alone. The Wehrmacht had already dug a grave. The children were brought along in a tractor. I had nothing to do with this technical procedure. The Ukrainians were standing around trembling. The children were taken down from the tractor. They were lined up along the top of the grave and shot so that they fell into it. The Ukrainians did not aim at any particular part of the body. They fell into the grave. The wailing was indescribable. I shall never forget the scene throughout my life. I find it very hard to bear. I particularly remember a small fair-haired girl who took me by the hand. She too was shot later...The grave was near some woods. It was not near the rifle-range. The execution must had taken place in the afternoon at about 3.30 or 4.00. It took place the day after the discussions at the Feldkommandanten...Many children were hit four or five times before they died.”Ω

The monumental task of killing millions of unarmed people in cold blood could not be accomplished by the German people weakened by rotten intellectuals and liberals. These were destroyed in the years leading to the war. These tasks required a new breed of people, young and with no moral compass, which they would have  inherited from their fathers, had the fathers been not removed from raising their children. Nazis bred a new Folk (people.) Nazis were keen breeders. After all, they had a lot of experience. Heinrich Himmler, the Minister of the Interior and commander of the SS and Gestapo, was in the past a chicken breeder, although a failure at that.

Idyllic Nazism

If you ask today’s Femi-Nazis, their movement brings nothing but an idyllic equality and prosperity for all, and happiness to our children, not to mention a peculiar female camaraderie, even if only for “intellectually cohesive clique that has never recovered from the Seventies, when that rhetoric of oppression - women as subordinate class - was fashionable," as Prof. Christina Hoff-Sommers put it in her interview with The Dartmouth Review. These sociopaths are stuck in the wrong timeframe: in 1940’s they would have been running gas chambers in the death camps, bragged about their “service to the society” in the name of “social justice,” and bestowed upon each other honorary titles.

Not surprisingly, the female functionaries of the Nazi regime remained forever un-repented: In a 2000 interview, Dr. Jutta Rüdiger, German psychologist, who was head of the Nazi Party's female youth organization, the League of German Girls (Bund Deutscher Mädel, BDM) from 1937 to 1945, said:  “National Socialism is not repeatable. One can take over only the values which we espoused: comradeship, readiness to support one another; bravery, self-discipline, and not least honour and loyalty.”   − Honour?
